Everywhere

It’s funny that just over a week ago I was still in Michigan with all my loved ones and now, once again, I’m serving an interminable sentences in the state of chapped lips.
I really do like it here, don’t get me wrong, but I’m frustrated that I don’t know why I’m here. This isn’t some long-planned step on my personal ladder to success. It isn’t part of a divinely inspired mission. It just sort of fell into my lap and I was too lazy to brush it off.
It’s strange, I think, to be twenty-two and not have a plan, especially when I’ve already got half a year under my belt in a legitimate career path. Do you all have a “big picture” going? Should I?
On a related note: I love Ramen. I really do, and today, courtesy of deletetheadjectives, my long-lost blogging soul-mate, I have a few more reasons to crave that Asian sensation.

2. Ramen is getting it’s own feature-length film starring Brittany Murphy. Check it out:
I promised a review of the two new Scrubs episodes (available now at abc.com) and I’ll keep it short.
Episode 1, “My Jerks” introduces the new chief of medicine (Courtney Cox) and shows that she is indeed just as big of a jerk as Kelso. Spoiler Alert: She fires the janitor – should be an interesting plot device. Overall, the episode was pretty flat, and served most to introduce some new characters and ease us back in to our favorite TV show.
Episode 2, “My Last Words,” was much more classic Scrubs. There was some definite JD-Turk bromance going on, and a not-too-big-for-twenty-minutes life lesson to be learned, complete with a great closing song (“I Will Follow You Into The Dark” by Death Cab).
The first two episodes of Scrubs first season away from NBC weren’t stellar, but they proved that the soul of the show, and all the actors, were going to make the network transition intact.
My favorite lines of episode 2 were part of JD and Turk’s discussion with a terminal patient of what heaven was like. After talking at length about the Lesbian Cloud, Turk says: “I just hope I die before my wife so that I can have some fun up there.” To which JD responds: “Ugh, when Carla dies heaven is going to suuuuuck.”
As a final note, I've decided that I’m going to take Saturdays off of blogging. So, for now, I’ll be posting 6 days/week.
Salvete, mi amici.

The only plan you have is the rate and which you will weblog? On my weblog I'd tag that with Pain of Nothing.
Why you, why there, why no idea? I'll try to scry...

Man, I am coming up with so many good comments that I wish to use, but won't because I want to save them for my weblog... Wait, I forgot them...
Well, Scrubs is kinda... Well... They underwhelm me. It seems to pass the time, but it isn't something that I'd plan to see. Maybe I'm just allergic to sitcoms...

Hmm...I've been feeling the lack of plan/purpose myself. Even though the lady on the bus told me that being a teacher is one of the most rewarding jobs. And even though I don't disagree. Still...
Your description of falling into a career path (or rather, it falling in your lap) is a good description of how I got where I am. I usually feel that it's where I should be, but sometimes I feel a longing for something else - and frustratingly I don't know what that is. Maybe it's just mid-winter blues.
